A century-old Tampa estate is back on the market at a significant discount.
The Gilmer House, located at 815 Bayshore Blvd., was completed in 1922 and was most famously owned by prominent Tampa physician Eugene S. Gilmer and his wife Frances.
Years later, the home also belonged to Tampa developer Julian Hawthorne Lifsey Jr., who was responsible for developing much of the Rocky Point area in the early-1950s.
According to property records, the Gilmer House was last sold in 2016 for $1,665,000, and hit the market in May of 2024 with an asking price of $5,995,000. The listing was removed last month, but the home is now back on the market with a new listing agent and a new price tag of $5,200,000.
The listing agent is now Stephen Gay of Smith & Associates.
The Gilmer House comes with 5,384-square-feet of living space, as well as five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It also features a pool and spa, vaulted ceilings, a guest house, and more. According to the listing, the home underwent a major remodel in 2018.
