There are tours that just won’t venture into Tampa, and last Friday U.K punk band The Chisel and Canadian synth-oi outfit Home Front brought an east coast tour to Jacksonville.
Furious drums, raging guitars and Cal Grahams howling vocals—sometimes melodic sometimes sharpened to a fine point but always in your face—brought to life The Chisel’s nostalgic, glorious street punk and c.-late-’80s oi.
Home Front, fronted by ultra charismatic, Graeme McKinnon, brought with it three critically-acclaimed releases, including a 2023 full-length, Games of Power.
Jack Rabbits—which some might call the “Crowbar of Jacksonville”—played host for the evening which included Texas street punk jammers, Liberty and Justice and Orlando’s very own, The Attack.
