Two "hurricane relief centers" are now open in Palmetto Beach and Davis Islands, two of Tampa's hardest hit neighborhoods.
Resources including Free lunch and dinner, restrooms, showers, water, ice and laundry services are available daily from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. until further notice, according to the City of Tampa.
In Palmetto Beach, the relief center is at DeSoto Park (2617 Corrine St.); on Davis Islands the center is at Marjorie Park on Columbia Drive.
It's not the only place in Tampa where folks can get free food. Several restaurants have banded together to feed locals every day this week, and Feeding Tampa Bay has set up an emergency distribution center at Crosswind Church (1510 W Hillsborough Ave.) which will operate today, Monday, Sept. 30 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
