Following surges of canceled and postponed Tampa concerts, Kenny Chesney has announced a new date for his postponed shw at the Raymond James Stadium.

The concert is now set for May 1, 2021 and existing tickets will be honored. The show will still be opened by Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti and Spearhead.

For the Chesney fans who don’t want to wait, Downtown St. Pete’s Jannus Live will be hosting Kenny Chesney tribute band Pirate Flag this Friday, June 19. The concert will be the venue’s first since closing down and will be free to the public, although according to its Facebook page, attendance will be limited.

Jannus Live will also see a free Rolling Stones tribute show on July 4 and a performance by the Original Wailers featuring Al Anderson on July 25. Tickets can be found here

After Ruth Eckerd Hall brought Tampa Bay its first social distanced live concert with its Greg Billings show June 11, the venue announced 38 Special would be performing on its main stage July 25 with the Greg Billings Band opening.

The Bilheimer Capitol Theatre in Clearwater has also announced two future performances by Judy Collins on Jan. 29 and Jake Shimabukuro on Oct. 3, as well as a rescheduling of two Todd Rundgren shows. The Rundgren shows originally scheduled for Aug. 4 and 5 will now be held on Feb. 28 and March 1. Previously purchased tickets will be honored. 

Ybor City’s concert scene is also reopening with The Attic’s Forrest Hoffar show June 20 and The Improv’s shows from John Heffron this Thursday through Saturday and Lavell Crawford June 25-28. The Improv will sell seats in distanced tables of two or four.
