Overall net worth of Florida CFO Jimmy Patronis grew by 17 percent last year

State elected officials are required to file financial-disclosure forms by July 1.

State Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis’ net worth increased 17 percent last year. Patronis had a net worth of $8.16 million as of Dec. 31, according to an annual financial-disclosure report posted Wednesday on the state Commission on Ethics website.

That was up from a net worth of $6.97 million at the end of 2022.

State elected officials are required to file financial-disclosure forms by July 1 that list net worths, incomes, assets and liabilities. Generally, the forms show financial information from the end of the previous year.

Patronis’ new report showed that the value of his stock in Patronis Brothers, Inc. went from $1.33 million in 2022 to $1.6 million in 2023. At the same time, his partnership interest in a variety of limited liability companies tied to Patronis Brothers went from $2.15 million in 2022 to $2.475 million in 2023.

Among the Patronis-family businesses are the Capt. Anderson’s and J. Michael’s restaurants in Panama City Beach. Patronis’ property holdings in 2023 included a home in Panama City Beach valued at $602,365, unchanged from the prior year, and a condominium in Tallahassee valued at $147,630, up nearly $3,000 from 2022.

He also owned a vacant lot in Panama City valued at $251,792, another lot in Port St. Joe worth $82,500 and three vacant lots in Chipley that had a combined value of $90,000.

A retirement account tied to Patronis Brothers held $879,037, and Patronis’ state retirement account was up to $215,547.

In addition to $137,899 in pay from his state job, Patronis’ 2023 income included $265,321 from the various family holdings and $5,331 from a limited liability company linked to Emerald Coast Urgent Care in Panama City Beach.
