✔️ Et Cultura Interactive Music + Art + Film Festival Wrap Concert w/Acho Brother/Soapbox Soliloquy/Mountain Holler/Pohgoh/Fistful/MrENC The music portion of Et Cultura's State Theatre and Jannus Landing offerings closed up last night with sets by Slowdive, Silver Apples, Talib Kweli, Budos Band and more, and tonight the five-day affair says farewell with a wrap concert, plus loads of great art, discussion and a badass projection mapping project. It's been a great weekend out there, and the gorgeous weather plus free activities should tie a fantastic bow on all of it. (Music on Baum Ave. Main Stage) INFO

✔️  Bloodlet and Horsewhip Metalcore just sold out Microgroove, and it’s all at the hands of genre forefather Bloodlet, which, 25 years ago, laid down a foundation for the countless guttural screams and wicked riffs so many bands would emulate for years to come. After a lengthy break, Bloodlet’s Steve Albini-produced 2002 comeback album proved that the band still had it after its early and extended hiatus. Seriously, there’s no more room inside for the procrastinators, so maybe try to get a look through the windows? (Microgroove, Tampa) SOLD OUT

✔️  The Minimalists: Less is Now Tour w/Brother Cephus BOTB-winning indie-rock quartet Brother Cephus opens this show that is more-or-less a live taping of a podcast by the Minimalists, whom we write about here. ✔️ Navin Ave. w/Tail Light Rebellion/Marc Ganancias With the eventual demolition of the recently-shuttered New World Brewery set to be complete any week now, The Bricks has found itself in a position to be a bastion of live music on the west end of Ybor. This show will be a nice experiment and finds the joint (which is in the midst of an impressive renovation) hosting Jonny Swagger and Rob Black — aka Memphis, Tennessee makers of Rustbelt roots folk and punk, the Tail Light Rebellion — while two sturdy local acts play support. ✔️  Randy Newman If you’re under 35 years old, then we’ll forgive you for only knowing Randy Newman as the guy who sings those songs from Toy Story. No excuses going forward, however, because the 73-year-old veritable national treasure is out on the road supporting his first new album in nine years (Dark Matter, released in August via Nonesuch), on which the craftsman of song eeks out a dizzying, sometimes head-scratching, but thoroughly enjoyable mix of social commentary delivered with a healthy dose of humor and in Newman’s signature croaky voice. For kicks, you can visit the link below for a post about Newman’s unreleased Trump homage (chorus lyric: “What a dick!”) closer to the top of the feed. (Capitol Theatre, Clearwater) INFO
