Swedish metal favorite Amon Amarth returns to Tampa this weekend

With Cannibal Corpse and Obituary on the bill, too.

Oddly enough, Swedish metal outfit Amon Amarth hasn’t been in Tampa since 2019 when it opened for what turned out to not be Slayer’s farewell tour at the ol’ Gary.

Cannibal Corpse—featuring Tampa resident and Best of the Bay-winner George Fisher—was also on that bill five years ago, so don’t be too shocked if a barrage of good memories lead to a jam session between the two groups this weekend. Tampa metal OG Obituary and Dallas-based metal band Frozen Soul open.

Tickets to see Amon Amarth play Yuengling Center in Tampa on Saturday, May 18 are still available and start at $33.75.
