While endless academic debates could be had about who’s the most important act in industrial music, few would dispute that Front 242 are the all-time greatest—and those few would be wrong.

Musically, the Belgian EBM god has long had that target on lock. But Front 242 has always been so much more than a basic band. Like the Kraftwerk of industrial music, its artistic vision has made it not simply the gold standard of their genre but one of the most fiercely forward-minded and conceptual acts in modern history.

Tickets to see Front 242 play Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Friday, Sept. 6 are still available and start at $40.
