Nobody embraces the spirit of a 21st century kid like Charlie Green.

The 25-year-old’s main source of inspiration for his music comes from Internet memes that entertain iPad Kids and his fellow Gen-Zers alike. Green spent a number of years creating content on YouTube, and has even had a sound go viral on TikTok.

Green recently told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay about how AJR was the best gig he ever saw, mainly due to its production value.
The greatest concert I’ve ever seen was from none other than AJR. Nothing compares to the theatrics of their shows. And it’s not your standard concert by any means. It’s got insane visuals, storylines, acting, and all the things that make their show feel like you’re a part of their story. Seeing an AJR concert has really inspired my own live shows to stand out above the rest as best I can. —Charlie Green
Tickets to see CG5 play Ybor City's Crowbar on Friday, Oct. 4 are still available and cost $40.
