St. Pete's Saturday Morning Market is returning for the season, but it'll look different from ever before because there'll be no live music, limited vendors and mandatory mask-wearing for all (besides your dog and small children, of course). The market took to Facebook to announce the return Saturday, Nov. 14, as well as new protocols, adding that organizers are "sobered by the need to practice very strong COVID safety measures in order to protect our customers, vendors and the community."

The post goes on to outline new enhanced safety measures for both vendors and guests.

  • All customers and vendors will be required to wear a face mask for the duration of their visit.
  • Limited entrances to monitor mask compliance.
  • Food and drink must be consumed outside the market footprint, in order to assure 100% mask-wearing while shopping.

For a detailed list of safety practices, visit saturdaymorningmarket.com. Although wearing a mask while shopping is a minor inconvenience, you are helping to keep the fellow shoppers safe and supporting local vendors who desperately need it in these trying times.

If you're not quite ready to shop the market in-person, you can opt for contact-free shopping.

The 'Online/ Drive-Thru' version allows customers to order and pay in advance from several farmer websites, as well as buy from over 20 vendors through the ‘St Pete Online Farmers Market’ website. You then pick up your order (without ever leaving your vehicle) on Saturday from 9 a.m.-11 a.m., at a location nearby the Al Lang Parking lot.

Pick up your veggies and other locally-sourced goods in whichever way feels most comfortable to you. Wear a mask, social distance and support local.

The Saturday Morning Market takes place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at 101 1st Ave. SE in St. Pete near Al Lang Stadium.
