Santoro’s Pizzeria is Tampa’s newest pizza spot and joins a list of others like Eddie & Sam’s, Fabrica, and Tampa Pizza Company. Earlier this month, the New Jersey-style pizza joint celebrated a grand opening with ribbon cutting, live music from Chris Barbosa, and pizza-shaped balloons. Local artist Bianca Burrows aka “BBArt” painted a mural throughout the day.
“What a day Tampa. Thank you so much for showing up and supporting us for our Grand Opening,” Santoro’s—at 1329 W Cass St. in the West Riverfront neighborhood—wrote on Instagram.
A video of the festivities shows owner Travis Kaiser giving a speech followed by kids enjoying a game of hopscotch.
“It was a long road to get to this point and I couldn’t be happier with the support from the neighborhood, UT, and everyone else,” Kaiser said.
Guests can start off the meal with appetizers like mozzarella sticks, caprese, and salad then follow up with a pizza created from a variety of toppings including chicken cutlets, an assortment of veggies, and cheeses. When you’re full, take home a Santoro’s sub sandwiche or dessert. A slice of pizza will set you back $2.50 while a square pizza rounds out the menu at $20.
Santoro’s Pizzeria is open daily from 11 a.m.- 9 p.m.
