Highland House, a new concept from the Dunedin-based Feinstein Group, will be the resident restaurant at the new-and-improved Dunedin Golf Club—which both members and non-members alike can enjoy.
A press release says that the 15,000-square-foot, New American restaurant at 1050 Palm Blvd. will “provide guests with an upscale casual flare” at an approachable price point—although no dishes on its menu have been shared by the Feinstein Group yet.
Last month, the local hospitality group announced that the Dunedin City Commission had unanimously approved it to take over all food and beverage concepts within the newly-renovated golf club.
The Highland House’s grand opening is slated for Friday, Nov. 1, 2024.
The Dunedin Golf Club has been around since 1927, owned by the city since 1938, and has hosted significant events like the Senior PGA Championships throughout its long history. Both Zach and Christina Feinstein of the Feinstein Group say that they have close ties to the historic club.
“Zach’s first job was at the Dunedin Golf Club, so there’s a nostalgia that comes along with this project; the Club is in our backyard, and it’s near and dear to our hearts,” said Christina Feinstein in a press release, referring to her husband and co-founder. “We feel a responsibility to give the Dunedin community a special space where they can have a great meal, hold events and make memories.”
Funded by the City of Dunedin, renovations to the Dunedin Golf Club are estimated at $6.4 million, with a goal of restoring its original Donald Ross Design from the 20th century.
Highland House will be The Feinstein Group’s fourth Tampa Bay concept, alongside intimate fine dining spot The Black Pearl, cocktail lounge Sonder Social Club and American restaurant The Living Room, which boasts locations in Dunedin and Wesley Chapel.
