One of Miami’s hottest restaurants is heading north to give Tampa a taste of its eclectic Vietnamese eats.

On Aug. 1 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Tâm Tâm’s owner and Executive Chef Tam Pham will take over The Tampa Edition’s Arts Club, dishing out his beloved small plates inspired by Vietnamese drinking culture.

No tickets or RSVPs are required to attend this dining event, and Pham’s dishes will be available on an a la carte basis.

Earlier this year, the Miami hotspot earned a Bib Gourmand from the 2024 Michelin Guide, while its owner/chef Tam Pham took home the coveted Young Chef Award. While the offerings for next month’s pop-up haven't been released yet, prized dishes on the Tâm Tâm menu that may make their Tampa debut include the restaurant’s prized dragon shrimp crudo, fish sauce caramel chicken wings, tamarind-glazed ribs and jungle steak tartare with wagyu, shallot oil, rau rum, sesame cracker and fire ant salt.

Tâm Tâm is a modern interpretation of the classic Vietnamese quán nhậu, which loosely translates into “pubs” or “drinking places,” with the Michelin guide praising the new restaurant for being “bold, funky, and fun.”

“In Saigon, and other parts of Vietnam, when somebody says it’s time to “nhậu”, it’s a call to go drinking and feasting,” Tâm Tâm’s website reads. “At these establishments, the food helps facilitate the drinking, and the drinking ensures a great time.”

Pham and his partner Harrison Ramhofer opened their Miami restaurant in spring of 2023, an idea that first came into fruition a few years earlier when the two operated a Vietnamese supper club-turned pop-up.

The Tampa Edition promises that Aug. 1’s event will be where “exceptional cuisine, handcrafted drinks, live music, and good company harmonize in a celebration of cooking and culture.”
