Long-awaited Goody Goody debut planned for next week

On Aug. 23, Tampa's restored Goody Goody will open its doors for all to taste.

On Monday, Goody Goody revealed its opening date at Hyde Park Village over social media.

Tampa's iconic burger brand, restored by the Columbia Restaurant Group, will debut at 7 a.m. Aug. 23, giving the general public their first taste of its refreshed breakfast items, burgers with secret sauce, milkshakes, fried chicken, house-made pies and way more.

The reopening of Goody Goody, which will operate as fast-casual with table service in its new life, was announced two years ago. Built in 1925, the landmark's longest-standing outpost off Florida Avenue was closed in 2005.
