QUEER AND FEARLESS: A PRIDE celebration with Rob Sanders

Rob Sanders is a celebrated children's book author and is known as one of the pioneers in the area of LGBTQIA+ literary nonfiction picture books. He is the author of PRIDE: The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag, Stitch by Stitch: Cleve Jones and the AIDS Memorial Quilt, and many more groundbreaking and important books for young readers.
We are partnering with our friends at Allendale United Methodist Church and Equality Florida to present a night of community, poetry, and queer joy!
The event will take place at Allendale United Methodist Church located at 3803 Haines Rd N, St. Petersburg, FL 33703.
The event will include conversation about the lives of some of the most prominent LGBTQ+ heroes featured in the book! Rob's beautiful poems about these individuals will be read by some of our wonderful local poets and authors:
Tyler Gillespie, Sheree L. Greer, Silk Jazmyne Hindus,
Maria Ingrande Mora, Gloria Muñoz, and Samira Obeid!
