A traveling exhibition migrating to St. Petersburg tells the story of famous naturalist John James Audubon and the creation of his “Birds of America.”

The classic tome, first published as a series between 1827-1838, contains 435 life-sized prints of North American birds made from hand-engraved plates. The exhibition brings 46 of these plates to the MFA all the way from Scotland.

Admission to MFA St. Pete's "Audubon's Birds of America"—on display from Oct. 12-Feb. 16, 2025—is $12-$22 and free for members.
