Indie 101: Zack Weber.

What I enjoy most about Zack Weber has zip, zero, zilch, to do with the fact that he has a sound so unique that every generation can find a piece of his music and dance around to it like it’s nobody’s business. It has nothing to do with fact that his music is so diverse that when I have his CD in my car I forget it isn’t a mixed one. It also isn’t because he’s adorable or gives really great instructional videos on “Drumming 101.” No no no, my little friends, what I like most about Zack Weber is that he can get first place in Mario Kart while playing with his FEET.
I featured "Playground Rocks," off of Zack’s newest album Daydreams and Day Jobs on Episode 16 of The Merry Andrews Show. "Playground Rocks" has a Jamie Cullum bluesy feel whereas "In Your Head," makes me think of Radiohead (not just because they both have the word “head” in them) and "Sleep," reminds me of something that could come out of Jack’s Mannequin.
Here are some exciting things happening in Zack’s immediate future:
1. ZackWeber.com will be done with its makeover very soon, and it will blow your balls off.
2. He is shooting a super sexy hot music video for "In Your Head" in May.
3. He is playing at Bamboozle on May 3 and 4. Go to this.
4. He is playing at Red Star, in New York on May 10. Go to this, too.
5. He is playing at the Central Park Book Festival on September 21. All together now ... GO TO THIS.
He also has various weekly gigs listed on his Myspace page and rumor has it that he will be doing a West Coast Tour very soon.
