Tampa's early punk scene gets the full lowlight treatment in new indie documentary
We Can't Help It If We're From Tampa, which traces the Bay area’s underground punk scene from 1982 to 1990 with gritty photos, poster art, rare film footage, interviews with musicians, promoters, club owners and others who were active in the scene back then, and of course, plenty of raucous music. No Clubs Productions and 40 Amp Media host a premiere screening of the flick followed by a punk rock showcase ring-led by Cali hardcore legends Fang and Tampa punk vets No Fraud, and also featuring reunion sets from locals Pagan Faith, Guy Smiley and Slap of Reality. Screening at 8:30 p.m.; music to start directly after, at 10 p.m.
