Guest artists and University of Tampa's faculty band together to choreograph classical ballet, modern, tap, jazz and hip hop pieces to be performed by students. This year's concert features choreography from 2002 alumna, Lauren Gilbert, returns with a modern piece on the theme of bullying, a ballet with a traditional pas de deux choreographed by Richard Ploch, director of Acanthus Balle and and a Broadway “spectacle” blending Broadway and jazz by Linda Lopez, UT adjunct professor of dance. “The Spring Dance Concert is a feast for dance lovers, or even people just wanting a taste of dance,” said Lennon, UT professor of speech, theatre and dance.—Kelsey Sunderland
