When’s the last time you fully immersed yourself in Indian culture? Has it been too long? Looking for someplace to go tug your ears in apology? Or perhaps wanting to groove to “Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye” without worrying about waking up the neighbors? Brush up on your Hindi and dust off that silky frock. It’s time for Stageworks Theatre’s Masquerade Ball VII: Bollywood Nights. The evening starts out with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, dinner and a presentation emceed by Russell Rhodes and Denise White, anchors for Fox 13. The night is capped off with Bollywood Late Nights —dancing and entertainment from the land of Salman Kahn and Kareena Kapoor. You can wear either black tie or Indian garb. More importantly, see how much booze and/or money will it take to get Rhodes and White to “Benny Lava”? Prabhu Deva would approve. Valet parking and first drink are complimentary. 6:30-11 p.m., Jan. 12. India Cultural Center, 5511 Lynn Road, Tampa, 813-251-8984. —Kent Roberts
