Preserving bodies and putting them on display is interesting, but preserving gargantuan sea creatures and putting them on display is both fascinating and nightmare-worthy all at once. Using the revolutionary polymer preservation technique commonly known as plastination to keep the creatures in tact, audiences get to explore the literal ins and outs of some of the most massive creatures of the deep, including a 6-foot-wide manta ray, a 15-foot-long mako shark, a giant squid, and an 18-foot-long and a 3,000 pound whale shark. In addition, smaller and more intriguing little mysterious things can be gawked at too. Kids can enjoy interactive fun while grown-ups read the interesting historical info. Mood-setting theatrical and scenic touches give visitors almost to take you to where the sea dwellers exist. On display through Labor Day Weekend. (Text by Kelsey Sunderland.)
