There’s something inherently audacious about staging theater’s most oft-produced love story, but if anyone can make Romeo and Juliet a hit, it’s freeFall. The company enjoyed success with the Bard in the past, having expertly presented A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Comedy of Errors. It continues its commitment to including Shakespeare each season with another fresh take on a familiar classic. Jesse LeNoir (Project Runway season 7) and Sarah McAvoy (August: Osage County) play the star-crossed lovers. They’re taking their cues from Eric Davis, who has barely taken a breath after Cabaret. The company’s artistic director stages the play with eight actors playing multiple characters in an immersive environment that should captivate you whether you’re enjoying Juliet and her Romeo for the first or hundredth time. And if you're still not convinced, Best of the Bay-winning actress Roxanne Fay will play Nurse, Friar and Lady Montague."See where she comes from shrift with merry look." —Julie Garisto
