Rock the Park: Taking Back the City
Jamaican reggae and infectious island-style horns will fill the air as the signs of relief and sighs of exhaustion are experienced across Tampa Bay post-RNC. The Tampa Downtown Partnership, along with support from the local business community, will hold its monthly Rock in the Park in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park with a Take Back the City theme, inviting residents to come out and recognize the value of the city without a big national event to zazz it up. In addition to saying bye-bye to Republicans, bid farewell to 20-year-strong ska favorite Magadog, who'll be playing its final show at the event. Not performing last shows — we hope — are Red Rock Its and Halibut.
