He’s one of the two skins-battering beat-keepers in heavy post-rock foursome set and setting. More recently, Mark Etherington has also been working on material with RedFeather, an alt folk and groove oriented rock quartet that he co-fronts on acoustic guitar and husky haunting vocals with mood-setting keys and synths mistress Jaqlyn Troubadour, whose sweeter-toned calls act as a bright feminine counterpoint to his more masculine timbre. Also of note: punk-ska purveyors Victims of Circumstance, a five-piece from Clearwater with a two-horn punch and a third LP, Akupuncture, that was issued last fall via drummer Glenn Stewart’s Financial Records imprint.
