Say Opa to a high-spirited Hellenic tradition and enjoy Greek music, dancing, and dining right on the street with Odyssey, performers of nisiotika — lively traditional tunes of the Greek isles, featuring George Diakakis on bouzouki, Emmanuel Gonatos on vocals and baglamas, and George Boulahanis, keyboard. Supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the monthly event features outdoor dining Euro-style with local restaurants that set up tables the cordoned-off main drag. Eateries include Costa's, Mama's, Mykonos and Hellas. Costa's and Mama's are more directly across from the music and dance — and the music is very good though it can be challenging for conversation — but very convenient for dancing and viewing. Hellas and Mykonos are each a little to side. Participate in Greek dance lessons 6-7 p.m. Band plays 7-11 p.m.
