Nathan Beard: Cyclic Emergence

When: June 26-Sept. 12 2014
Life’s ebbs and flows — and the mistakes we both learn from and repeat year after year — can be maddeningly cyclical. Seek solace by visiting Cyclic Emergence, a solo show that spotlights themed works by renowned St. Pete-based artist Nathan Beard. Gallery 221 — Hillsborough Community College-Dale Mabry’s free alternative art space — quotes Beard as capturing the “theater of life” in his abstract works. He uses color, abstract line-and-shape to symbolize the throes, beginnings and endings of life’s phases, and the events in between. The exhibit runs through Sept. 12 , located on the third floor of the college’s Learning Resources Center , and Beard is represented by ARTicles Art Gallery. Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Mon.-Fri. —Julie Garisto
