Get to the bottom of long-held beliefs and urban myths at a touring museum exhibition inspired by Discovery Channel’s Emmy-nominated series. MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition includes hands-on activities and live demonstrations that imitates the research of hosts Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman, Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara. According to MOSI, Savage and Hyneman were heavily involved in the development of its new touring exhibition, and exhibits include the Blueprint Room, based on the real-life operations of the show's hosts — with gadgets, props, video and, yes, blueprints — a workshop to test myths and a live MythBusters demonstration stage. The exhibition will make its southeastern debut in Tampa on Fri., Feb. 7, and will be on display at MOSI through Thurs., May 8. Museum hours are Mon.–Fri., 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Reservations are recommended, but you're welcome to test them on that — especially if you visit weekdays. —Julie Garisto
