MOSI would like to blast your sons and daughters 58 years into the future, where, with the help of their child colleagues and makeshift robots, they will start a colony on the moon. In so doing, Mission: Moonbase offers a safe alternative for any tikes itching to enter the NASA space program. A rocket ship will fly the team to the lunar surface. There they will closely monitor and ration their basic necessities, provide assistance to arriving and departing spacecraft, and explore their new habitat. The crew will also have opportunities to oversee the moon’s booming mining industry, learn to interact with their surroundings from within a spacesuit, and properly secure the colony’s inhabitants against solar radiation. For children who enjoy building, the centerpiece will be the robot, which they can design, assemble, and set to work.
