Celebrate Veteran's Day with a flyover of a legendary World War II bomber. It is an original 1945 B-17 that was built at the end of the war but never saw combat. Decades later it was remodeled to look like the original Memphis Belle, which inspired the 1990 Hollywood movie. The plane will soar over Tampa Nov. 10-11, taking off from Tampa Executive Airport. It flies over Tampa with a screening of the film starring Matthew Modine and Eric Stoltz (and Harry Connick Jr. in his screen debut). The Liberty Foundation produces the flying event as part of their 2012 "Salute to Veterans" tour. Proceeds go to training and wish programs for vets.
