What do Chelsea Handler, D.L. Hughley and Barack Obama have in common? They’ve all rubbed elbows with standup comedian Loni Love, who will stop by the Tampa Improv for a four-day special engagement. Love is perhaps best known from her round table appearances on Chelsea Lately, as well as gracing nearly every VH1 “I Love The” special. In 2010, she released her first hour-long standup special, America’s Sister. For those who still have Obama’s recent Tampa appearance on their minds, Love may be able to shed some light on the president; she covered his inauguration for the CNN show D.L. Hughley Breaks the News and speaks about him frequently during her own special. Yet she also weighs in on less politically weighty topics, such as extolling the virtues of bacon and wondering what vegetarians eat at barbecues.
