Join local prominent artists in paying tribute to Jerry Meatyard and Stephen Holm, whose 30-year career working together and building the HCC art department made an impact on artists throughout the community. The show is an invitational, juried exhibition curated by their former studio assistant Patrick Thomsen. Thomsen has gathered the work of alumni students of both professors who work as relevant contemporary artists. Participating artists include Matthew Burge, James Michaels, Kurt Piazza, JSG Boggs, Richard Sorrentino, Tom Kettner, Lori Ballard, Judy Tampa, Roddy Reed, Alex Torres, Kurt Holyoke, Jason Fondren, Mic Knight, Robert Wegmann, Dee Hood, Rocky Kester, Bruce Ferguson, Joe Griffith, Todd Bates to name a few. A gala closing event on Thurs., Sept 27, from 5:30 to 10 p.m., celebrates with an awards ceremony, Jerry and Steve Roast by artists, friends and HCC colleagues, live online performance with live music, food and drinkin HCC-Ybor’s Mainstage Theatre.
