It's Beer Week! 

Recommended events from Tampa Bay's big celebration of beer.

Sat., March 2

Florida Brewer’s Guild Beer Fest, 2-6 p.m. Centennial Park, Ybor City. The official kick-off to Tampa Bay Beer Week. As a special treat, 13 of the 14 breweries in Tampa Bay have contributed to a special cask that will be tapped by Mayor Buckhorn at 3 pm.

Sun., March 3

Eggs & Kegs brunch featuring Bell’s Brewery, 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Cigar City Brewing, Tampa. This breakfast and beer event will be full of great food and even better beer.

14th Annual Brewers Ball, Noon-5 p.m., Cuban Club, Ybor City. The best beers in Florida, all gold medal winners.

Bacon ‘N Beer Bash 2013, 6 p.m., World of Beer, Downtown St. Petersburg. There is beer. There is bacon. ’Nuff said.

Mon., March 4

Meet the Brewmaster/Cellar & Bottle Release, 5 p.m. Lueken’s Liquors, Dunedin. Get your hands on some rare releases from several excellent brewers, and meet Cigar City's Wayne Wambles.

Terrapin/Oskar Blues Joint Beer Dinner, 7 p.m. The Independent, Seminole Heights. Two great brewers and one award-winning chef.

7venth Sun 7 Beers and 7 Songs Toast, 8 p.m. Ale & The Witch, Downtown St. Petersburg. Try seven different beers from 7venth Sun Brewing and toast them with seven different songs at the Witch!

Tues., March 5

Sour Festival, 6 p.m., Lagerhaus, Safety Harbor. Sample some cheek-puckering brews from Lagerhaus and Saint Somewhere.

Beer Pairing Dinner, 6 p.m., Tampa Bay Brewing Company, Ybor City. Excellent beer from the Ybor brewpub paired with their impressive menu.

Wed., March 6

Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine Vertical Tasting, 6 p.m., Dunedin Brewery Nook, Dunedin. Bigfoot lives! And you can sample a 5-year vertical.

Dunedin Brewery/Cigar City/7venth Sun Beer Dinner, 7 p.m., Dunedin Smokehouse, Dunedin. A triple collaboration beer dinner at the famous smokehouse.

Dunder’s Sour Beer and Ice Cream Social, 7:30-9 p.m., Mr. Dunderbak’s, Tampa. Sour beer desserts?! Reductions? Yes please!

Thurs., March 7

Ale of Two Cities Release Party, 6-10 p.m., Southern Brewing & Winemaking, Seminole Heights. Celebrate a collaboration between 7venth Sun Brewing and Southern Brewing.

Meet and Greet with Stefaan Soetemans of Brouwerij The Musketeers, 7 p.m., St. Somewhere Brewing, Tarpon Springs. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend time with a traditional brewer from Belgium.

Fri., March 8

Cycle Barrel Aged Beer tapping, Noon, Peg’s Cantina, Gulfport. Come try the barrel-aged beers from Cycle Brewing and enjoy the great food from Peg’s Cantina.

Sausage Party! 5 p.m., Rapp Brewing, Seminole. What goes better with traditional style beers than bratwursts and sausages? Answer: Nothing!

Firkins & Food Trucks, 7 p.m.-midnight, Barley Mow Brewing, Largo. Join Florida Beer Company and Barley Mow Brewing as they feature specialty firkins from around the state and the area's best food trucks.

Sat., March 9

Hunahpu Release Day, 7:45 a.m.-midnight Cigar City Brewing, Tampa. This is not just a release party, it is a beer festival all to itself.

Florida Beer Company Mystery Beer Night, 8 p.m.-midnight, Crum’s Bar & Grill, St. Petersburg. FBC invades Crum's! Get all the beer styles right on the FBC mystery beer paddle and win Florida Beer prize packs and more.

Sun., March 10

Beer Release: Subtropical Farmhouse Ale, Noon, Dunedin Brewery, Dunedin. Official release of Dunedin’s collaboration w/ Cigar City & 7venth Sun.

The Grand Finale, 4-8 p.m., Ale & The Witch, Downtown St. Petersburg. All 32 American craft brews on tap from 4-8pm are $4 each.
