Island Vibez Poetry Night
Price: Free before 6:30 p.m. for adults with college ID; $5 for everyone after.
The poetry night incorporates the influences of Caribbean culture with a traditional open mic format. Local poets Dennis "D-Rod" Rodney and David "DeTyme" Tolliver emcee. Island Vibez has been praised for its warm atmosphere and is a haven for established artists as well as emerging artists. Queen Sheba and musicians like Kevin Sandbloom have performed at the event.
