Imagine working out in the gym two to three hours a day or eating every two to three hours? That’s one of the many myths Russian film director Vlad Yudin explores in his latest project, “Generation Iron,” a documentary following seven bodybuilders as they train to compete in the Mr. Olympia competition. The film surveys four myths about the sport such as bodybuilders depend on steriods, have low self-esteem and suffer from reverse anorexia. Yudin recruited producer of “Pumping Iron,” Jerome Gary, to work with him and actor Mickey Rourke to narrate the film. The documentary will be in theaters Fri., Sept. 20.
