A new Tampa Bay History exhibit commemorates Florida’s 500th anniversary of statehood with 150 colorful and occasionally surreal maps from the Library of Congress, university and European libraries, and private collectors. The earliest map is from 1493; the first maps of Tampa and St. Pete will be on view as well. The show is exclusive to the History Center and will not travel elsewhere.
