Quasi-legendary indie-jam act Built to Spill is the brainchild of Seattle-by-way-of-Idaho's Doug Martsch. The project has managed to keep a large chunk of the fans it attracted at the height of its catchy, fuzz-toned and slightly psychedelic powers back during the late '90s. Martsch & Co. last released an album, the surprisingly collaborative and meandering There Is No Enemy, back in late '09. Long-running experimental Seattle act (and, presumably, Martsch pals) Helvetia and Sacramento, Calif. indie/R&B/art-pop mash-up Sister Crayon provide support.
