Bask in the winning baseball nostalgia of yesteryear at the Ybor State Museum instead and celebrate 125 years of the sport in Tampa with vintage photos, memorabilia and more. Learn about baseball’s beginnings in Ybor City and West Tampa with Cigar Factory players, the Tampa Smokers, and Negro leagues, as well ones composed of Cubans, Italians and Spaniards. Tampa’s own Al Lopez, Lou Piniella and Tino Martinez are spotlighted, and the exhibit will help launch plans for the Al Lopez Museum opening in Ybor City in 2014. —Julie Garisto
