Hillsborough County Property Appraiser Rob Turner was elected in 1996, and easily re-elected every four years since then. He was on his way to his fifth four-year term in office when the scandal involving “lurid texts” to an ex-girlfriend made the newspapers, followed by an ignominious loss to Ronda Storms in the August primary.
