It feels like The Grapes can do no wrong. The alt folk foursome with a flair for the psychedelic are 14 months removed from the release of their fantastic debut full-length, Hemispheres, with glowing reviews and a loyal following in tow, but there’s no hint of settled contentment from the band. They’ve been on extensive tours since, are collaborating with Cigar City Brewpub on a signature beer, have fresh material that possesses newfound muscle and bounce, run a recording studio (Yoko Phono Recordings) out of St. Pete, and even release material by unheralded artists via front man Alexander Charos’ own Viva La Records imprint. Slow down? Nah… facebook.com/AlexanderAndTheGrapes.
