Re: “The Whipple effect

A response to neroito00

Thankfully, you have offered only four comments in some 16 months. If you know so much why are you so willing to keep your light hidden under a bushel? But why ask that question since you're happy to hide your opinions under an obscure screen name. (Who, I wonder, is nerioto0? Or nerioto99?) However, may I be permitted a guess? This isn't your only screen name. (It's invisible to all the major search engines.) I'd bet a plugged nickel or two that you're out there spreading vitriol under other equally obscure screen names.

However, while your shovel is gleefully engaged in what you think is criticism, why not take a few minutes and learn the craft? For example, "busy" and "overdone" are in quotes exactly why? If you are referring to someone else's review, why not tell us? If not, take some time off and study a grammar book. (If you're looking to emphasize, try italics or underlining. Or do you imagine yourself in front of an audience making air quotes?)

If Whipple's work is reminiscent of the artists you mention, how can it also be "boring, trite, derivative and utterly unchallenging"? Unless you also feel the same about those artists? Perhaps, reminiscent is not the word you meant. (Consider a dictionary or a thesaurus while you're hunting up that grammar book.)

Some of your other statements suggest you did not read the article you're castigating. Why am I not surprised? Your comments remind me of the moron who criticized one of my Daily journal entries because he'd thought I'd mistaken Henry Wallace (33rd vice president) for George Wallace (Alabama governor). Ignorance compounded by arrogance.

I could go on, but you're not worth any more of my time. So, meanwhile, keep hiding. Some of us (like Jeff and me) have the balls (not a sexist comment) to put our names on our thoughts. Try it when you grow a pair so people who know who you are can have a good laugh.
