Re: “Rumba Island Bar and Grill”

We used to love Youngs BBQ, and we occasionally dined at Hogfish, but Rumba...it strikes out, here's why: Strike 1 - Food. Inconsistent at best. My husband's ribs were terribly dry (twice), and my "fresh grouper" came out in three pieces, not as a filet as it had been advertised on their menu. Our daughter's sides weren't even on her plate...which brings up their substitution policy,or lack there of...the substitution policy stinks, I would like to know why there isn't a salad offered as a side? They have two types of mashed potatoes but refuse to sub french fries. Strike 2- Drinks Drinks here seem to take forever! They boast "great 2-4-1's" but our appetizer arrived before our drinks. Also, be wary of their Margaritas, they take like sour mix. And their Sangria should hardly be called a Sangria. 3- Cleanliness Each time we've dined we've noticed that the floor under our booth is never clean! Crackers, napkins, and fruit rhines lined our feet! Also, my husband found parsley in his coke...when they brought a replacement half the logo on the cup was missing! (We believe that they may be reusing the plastic cups!) We've given them three chances, and they've struck out! Don't waste your time or your money!
