this is still possibly the worse transit idea proposed for our community.
what's next - a golden rickshaw that can only be used between town and country and lutz that only works on wednesday and odd numbered months?
makes that helicopter from new tampa to downtown idea seem awesome again.
Mise en Place recently added a tofu one to their lunch menu. it is pretty good.
i have participated in 2 kickstarter projects.
one ended in a glorious disaster with a mentally unstable (or at least that is the story they are using to deflect some of the hate) l33t savant. about three years in and it is starting to look like maybe by year 5 the backers at my level will get all they are due.
the other was with a national touring act (which i have some concerns about the ethos of) and those at my level have received most of the package, less the item that was being created (a dvd) for KS. i think it will be here within a year and i don't have any concern about this being completed.
KS is not for instantaneous gratifacation. it sucks to get delays, but it really blows when you get burned. at this point i am pretty sour to the KS.
that is a lot of jobs that the state thinks are going to be created in 23 days.
Nebraska Ave has just as much history - local history - as some settler slaughtering Spaniard. The street has been named that in our community since the late 1800s.
Aside from the noted burden placed on the small local businesses to rename all their collateral, the city should not be spending money on what is ultimately an unnecessary vanity project. I mean we can always add another line of copy to the ybor street signs if spending money was in order.
lets not forget the old elephant foot IPA in the 16 oz cans from Tampa Bay Brewing Company. That is some good drinking.
i love the idea of mass transit... but this is a horrible idea that has no benefit to the community at large and only addresses a very small contingent going to a very specific area.
