I'm glad Freeman's Mom reads my stuff!
Did you actually watch the game or just read Freeman's stat line?
Freeman did exactly what he needed to do, and when his recievers didn't drop passes or commit stupid penalties or had touchdowns called back, Freeman was as good as any other QB on the field, ie Drew Brees. And yes, that's including the occasional INT or sack-fumble.
Great pop-culture references. Sometime you gotta use Sean Connery's quote from "The Rock." I think you know the one. Hopefully, it won't be in reference to the upcoming Buc season.
Enjoyable until you started talking about you looking at gray pubes....bye bye
This would've read so much better if not for the obvious disdain for the folks in the back with the tutus. I'd love to see local running groups getting more recognition than some of the big events that turn up around here. Unfortunately I've seen many run organizers, both locally and elsewhere, who have the same elitist attitude, and that has a tendency to drive people away. Why spend money locally when you can spend it elsewhere and not hear disparaging remarks about your attire or time?
BWAHAHAHA...You made me cry...i love you!
Nice work Billy!
My 3 year old (at the time) daughter was in attendance at Bill's for that NFC Champ game. I can still picture her backed against the wall, hands over ears, and totally befuddled by the mass of men apparently losing their wits as Ronde caught the ball and made it into the clear. In a quick moment, she was chanting along - Go, Go, Go. To this day, she still gets a look of WTF whenever she hears Bill's ear-piercing whistle or our gang's uninhibited cheers on game days. Now, that's good parenting.
Informative and interesting.
Great Article! COYR!!!! :)
Very nice! As always, a great piece from Chris and Creative Loafing.
What was the lost bidding war with Nike, though? I don't remember that happening.
Not trying to dwell on the past. Hopefully all good things to happen in the future.
Attending the Rowdies home games is always filled with tons of excitement... I gladly drive the distance from East Brandon/Valrico to Al Lang Stadium in order to be a part of the fanfare and the thrills on the pitch.
Fun stuff ... It all goes back to my theory that Halloween continues to be a holiday on the ascendancy -- That's what Frank Stallone says (to quote another SNL ref from years past [ :).
This sports food piece is fun!
This: "If you’ve ever shared a soda, kissed someone on the lips, shaken hands, touched a doorknob, jumped in a pool, handled money, or lived on earth, you’ve ingested germs. Billions of them. We’re pretty resilient creatures if you stop fondling the hand sanitizer long enough to think about it. So you’re saying you’ll eat a burger from the bitter drive-thru grade-school drop-out who just furiously scratched himself, but your best friend needs to turn his Triscuit around?"
Thanks Peter, we'll get 'em next year!!!!
We get it, "gorays". You think you're better than me and know everything about being a fan and I know nothing. Which is the only point of the rant and all the proof I need. Thanks for illustrating said point.
this article is further proof you have no idea what it means to be a true sports fan..
