Re: “Anise Global Gastrobar's power couple of flavor in Tampa

It took over 3 hours for our party of 6 to have dinner, but most of the time we were just sitting there looking around for our waiter while nursing our drinks, because we didn't know how long it would take to get another. Took at least 15 minutes after we were seated to even have our drink order taken, then another 15 minutes or more to receive the drinks........it goes on and on like this. The check for me and my boyfriend was $130, including the 20% I regretted leaving. This was my first time at Anise and I was so disappointed, because I had been looking forward to trying it for a long time. There were plenty of staff with a lot of empty tables, no excuse at all.

Re: “Restaurant review: Sushi dreamin' at Kaiko

I love this place! My favorite dinner starts off with a squid salad and merlot, leading into a rainbow roll and dragon roll. Occasionally, I'll opt for a spicy tuna salad with a bowl of rice and an arizona roll if I want to have that nice, satisfying meal with a touch of lightness to it. Goes great paired with some wine. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Re: “Restaurant review: Villa Bellini offers familiar favored flavors in spacious Clearwater digs

did you write the caption: The restaurant's got a wine cellar in one of its private dining rooms. ? That's some educated syntax right there.

Everyone has their palletes, but your review marks a lot of the dishes as one-dimensional, whereas your dining companions enjoyed their dining experience much more ("cleaning their plates"). Not sure what to make of this review, so I'll be checking out this place on my own.

Don Pintabona is an amazing chef! I had the pleasure of dining in his restaurant in New York. Not only did St Pete gain an incredible chef, but also a wonderful man!! Bravo!!!

Re: “Restaurant review: Sushi dreamin' at Kaiko

sometimes a place is about more than the food. It's a comfortable vibe and the esteem they've built by serving their community. But you wouldn't know about that visiting a place cold. I enjoy Charlie's sushi and will be there next week with a large group.

Re: “Restaurant review: Sushi dreamin' at Kaiko

interesting review.... a bit one dimensional i might add.... never been to this particular rest.. but after a quick tour of your reviews and my experience with the same places, i will definitely check it out on my own.... merely observing.

Re: “Reservations Gourmet-To-Go says farewell, with love

This is really a shame. The food is great, but the location just isn't super inviting, and the name always seemed off-putting to me - you need a reservation, but you can't eat here?

Anyway, I'm going to go get a Buffalo Chicken sub . . .
