There is significant evidence that GMO's are extremely harmful in many ways and they are wreaking havoc on nature in the areas where they are used.

You could see that one coming. Is that a record for the shortest time a business has been bought and then put back up for sale? That wasn't a good move to alienate the community by kicking out the peace people.

This same thing happened to the coffee bar that used to be across the street from SPC clearwater campus frobaly a decade ago but the song remains the same. It used to be Java Jungle, etc. some guy named Johnathan bought it and renamed it "Cool Tunes Coffee Bar". Changed everything about the place, including manditory Jimmy Buffett. Destroyed that place like Aldano is destroying Cafe Bohemia. As a business owner you should know your audience, its a shame people keep trying to break into this space who so clearly do not understand it.

No, that's not the deal. The original owners told me that the new owner stated intentions to keep everything the same, including the movie screenings, which had been going on for 5 and a half years, during which time Aldona could've easily researched what was showing. All those years building up a community of alt.music and important documentaries, and now false intentions lead to Disney family fare and "easy listening". What an ass.

OK.......Here is the real deal, since all you haters have not bothered to do your research......including CL which mispelled the owners name.....should be called Creative Oafing. Anyone who has bothered to investigate will come to find out that Cafe Bohemia sold the building and business to a new owner who has no intentions of leaving the name or the business the same. The leaving of the name is only temporary while the place is undergoing renovations and a new logo and image are created. Do you people really think that if a business sells and/or closes its doors the new owners have an obligation to keep it the same????? Hello!!!! Free Enterprise!!!!! America!!!! If you are sad that Cafe Bohemia is gone, mourn and get over it! It was the decision of Matt and Bonnie to sell and get out of the business and we should respect their choice as well as the new owners descision to open something new there.......would you be as angry if he opened a clothing or furniture store in its place?? He has every right to do with it as he pleases as do all of you if you choose to go into business. By the way if you are affiliated with St Pete for Peace I would have to say that you are not very peaceful people. The owner owns numerous other businesses in the area and frequents stores and restaurants just like all of us so to say he does not support the community just because he decided to open another type of business there is ignorant.
