I love Saigon Deli on Dale Mabry next to La Quinta! It's awesome.
saigon deli is the best one!
Hey SydWillis, Beirut Cafe is in St. Petersburg and I highly recommend it. As for not including more places, we tried to focus on areas you may not consider for BYOB. If you hear of any good St. Petersburg BYOB, please let me know. I often update dining guides with additional locations since we are limited on space.
nothing in stpete wow that's lame as hell
I read that my favorite restaurant, Vintage on Fifth in Crystal River, is serving BBQ Corned Beef. Think I am going there tonight!
Saigon Deli, Tan Phat, Little Saigon, Ddrinkz... Banh Mi powerhouses in Tampa. CL has a St. Pete slant sometimes...
Thanks for the info Justin! Adding that to the list now! Can you recommend a dish or two?
Just curious how you left the best Viet restaurant in the bay area off this list...Saigon Deli. The rest of these places pale in comparison.
My indoctrination to Vietnamese food came at the FIRST spot to house Ben Thanh in the KMart shopping center on the corner of 30th Ave N and 34th St. I was so happy to learn that they had reopened on 62nd Ave N a few years later.
Pop n Sons, thats where its at, right off 275 (N Dale Mabry) easily accesible from all the strip clubs and dance venues. Everything on the menu is southern comfort. Chicken and Waffles with Bacon!!! Oh MYYYYYY!!!!!

What about Patch's Place on Bay to bay and Bayshore?!? Such a delicious dive (though Pinkys will always have my heart)....
drive in movie theatres
int'l plaza
your backyard
various soho dives
No outdoor seating in Tampa?
Great list! Thanks for posting. LR Bergeron
How about some places east of the bay?
This seems more like a guide for cheap beer specials...I was looking for a place to enjoy a meal, not a pub.
it's creative loafing and this is tampa
we redefine everything here
Tunduree has been a disappointment the past two times I've eaten there. I've also been to Jai Ho twice and was unimpressed, but I do have friends that swear by it. Taste of India has been my favorite spot now for a while, but you also can never go wrong with Taj.
Leaving out Willard's Tap House? interesting....
Re: “Vietnamese dining guide”
Agree, Saigon Deli, the real one, not the other one across the street.
