Pinellas County Coalition for the Homeless hosted their annual Pinellas Project Homeless Connect at The Coliseum in downtown St. Petersburg this past Saturday, January 30th, linking approximately 1,200 area homeless to much-needed services including medical and dental screenings and other personal care, H1N1 vaccinations, legal services, job and housing assistance, social and transportation services, and behavioral and spiritual counseling. St. Petersburg has the highest population of homeless individuals in Pinellas County, outstretching the second-highest, Clearwater, by over 100 percent.
