David Hawk is in recovery from crack addiction and recent homelessness. He moved down to Florida three years ago to live with his mother after serving eight months in an Ohio prison hospital. He was 48 years old. Now, he's 11 months sober and working at Hide Away Storage on 34th Street South, where he also lives, thanks to the kindness of Hide Away's managers, Virgil and Patty Mills.
