You only turn 20 once and the Skatepark of Tampa is celebrating it like you should — heartily and plentifully. Part three of four of the celebration 93 ‘til Infinity gets rolling at 8 p.m. on Jan. 12 at SpoT owner Brian Schaefer’s bar/restaurant/all around cool hangout place, The Bricks. Artwork by locals will be displayed throughout the space in a show curated by Kick Start My Art; each piece representing a year from 1993 to the present and a moment significant to the artist during that time. If I could paint, mine would have to be of the time in 1999 that Ryan Reynolds gave me the eye. It happened, swear. DJ Qeys will be providing the soundtrack to the night. The Moat Water 20-Year Anniversary Deck Release Party takes place the following Saturday at 6 p.m. with the sale of 50 skateboard decks designed in collaboration with the Skatepark, Cigar City Brewery, Ps Stix and skateboarding guru Lance Mountain. The center panel of the Moat Water skateboards were made from wood used in the aging process of the Cigar City beer, brewed specially for the anniversary celebration. Bravo for keeping it local. —Stephanie Powers
