Serving what would've been its last meals to guests on March 9, Spaghetti Warehouse made the decision to stay open for business.
Now, the Ybor City restaurant is inviting patrons to participate in an online survey, ending Friday, that will help determine its new Tampa-area location.
BLD Brands, the parent company that owns Spaghetti Warehouse, set up a polling website for diners to offer suggestions, such as Brandon, Apollo Beach and Carrollwood, for the restaurant's move.
"Conducting this poll is the next step in affirming our commitment to come back with a fresh, new look and feel and menu in 2017," said Doug Pak, president and CEO of BLD, in a statement.
Open since 1983, Spaghetti Warehouse's closure was swayed by an overwhelming response from guests that included hundreds of emails. Before the restaurant's original closing day, CL spoke with diners waiting for what they expected was their final meal.
"They have been here so long. It is one of my favorite places to come to," Jennifer Hamilton, a longtime patron, said of the restaurant.
Spaghetti Warehouse will remain in Ybor Square for up to 12 more months while it searches for a new home.
